What is the Glycemic Index
All carbohydrates have a higher percentage of glucose, therefore, the glycemic index is the rate at which glucose enters the blood over a period of time, increasing your blood glucose level before moving to the islands of langerhans (pancreas) stimulating the production of insulin.
Foods are divided into three macronutrients: fat, protein and carbohydrates, but carbohydrates are just the only ones responsible of rising fat cells (adipocytes): although essential to produce vital energy in the body is good for health and beauty, know them thoroughly.
Remember ...... FRUIT and VEGETABLES are CARBS!!
It's good to know that in the same category (vegetables in this case), you can find zucchinis with GI=15 and potatoes with a GI between 80 and 95 (it depends on the way you cook it), recalling that the maximum GI is 100.
I've met many people who have become vegetarian for various reasons: one of these was to look leaner, but they become obese because they did not know this topic but only the calories one.
The good news is that we also have the method for vegetarians and vegans;) ....... please contact us..
